| Job Description: |
- Write a variety of content for funding applications, including supporting documentation such as budget justifications, according to a recognized and approved style, logic, and policy of funding organizations.
- Developing and writing grant proposals to foundations and other donor organizations, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs.
- Prepare well-written grant proposals that meet grantor standards and requirements.
- Conduct research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.
- Providing writing support for major donor and individual contribution letters and acknowledgements.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
- Monitor web sites and other sources for funding announcements and maintain a strong working knowledge of available funding opportunities.
- Record and maintain data on proposal submissions and track annual numbers and funding amounts requested and awarded.
- Support investigators in ensuring the timely completion of grant applications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in public health, communications, scientific field, English or journalism or other applicable area of study
- Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably in an academic, healthcare, or non-profit
- setting, with notable responsibilities for technical writing and editing.
