· Program Background Summary: Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), supports seven provincial and regional departments of education to improve reading skills for at least 1.3 million grades one and two children. Lead by International Rescue Committee (IRC), with Partners (Institute of Rural Management, Creative Associates International, World Learning), using a collaborative approach with three components for implementation, including: improving classroom learning environment, improving policies and systems, and providing community based support, over seven years.
Job Overview/Summary:
A major part of the PRP M&E department work involves conducting research and surveys to gather in-depth information about its progress in target areas. In this regard, M&E team is conducting a mixed-methods experimental study with six treatment arms to identify the cost-effectiveness of different ingredients of a literacy intervention for early grades study to understand the effects of different components (Variations) of PRP CPD model on teachers and students as per the approved work plan.
To answer research question that aim to identify how differences in the quality and fidelity of the implementation of TIGs & provided school support visit by SSA/Mentor affect key reading outcomes for different groups of students, external 16 enumerators will be hired to collect data using TIG observation tool as well as Mentor/SSA Coaching Observation Tool (21 TIGs observations, 58 Mentor/SSA Coaching observation). The key responsibilities of enumerators are mentioned as follow:
Attend Training:
Attend 04 days training workshop (tentatively planned on Feb 27-March 2, 2019) to capacitate herself/himself on these two tools.
Field Data Collection:
- Perform necessary coordination with TIG Host school and SSA/Mentor before her/his visit.
- Observe visited TIG as well as school support process and fill these observation tools as per training using paper-pencil tool (tentatively planned March 4, 2019 on ward)
- Upload collected data using Android based Tangerine application on Tangerine Server.
Job Requirements:

Education: At least Bachelor degree in any subject from a recognized university.
Work Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in collecting qualitative data especially conducting process observations.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
- Flexible, motivated, team player and fast to learn.
Language Skills: Proficient in URDU, Pashto and English Languages.
