Basic Job Responsibilities:
1. Ensure patient satisfaction, maintain & establish departmental policies & procedures
2. Participate in lab meetings, training and plans for cost reduction
3. Evaluates quality control and quality assurance statistics and modifies manuals as needed
4. Facilitate to meet the budget, Resources and timeline and Responsible for lab stock management
5. When necessary Deliver scientific talks to improve the skills if the technologist.
6. Interview, assessment, selection of new Laboratory candidates.
7. Participate in official meetings for TQM & QA.
8. Responsible to report completely and concisely, to the GM Diagnostics, the problems, needs and interdepartmental interactions.
9. Preparing daily/ weekly/ monthly reports as required by the GM Diagnostics.
10. Evaluate employees in an objective and fair manner.
11. Willing to take on additional responsibilities for quality enhancement strategy.
12. Perform procedures as per infection control policies of the hospital
13. Ensure the availability of test lists & to look for alternates if required.
14. Cancel system generated specimen slips if required by giving reason
15. Perform duty roster and discuss with manager before implementation and Approval of attendance, leaves, over time and preparation of salaries.
16. Responsible to check dress code, staff movement for tea/lunch/prayer etc.
17. Check and review standard operating procedure as required regulatory bodies.
18. Prepare and implement written orientation and training for new staff
19. Updating Laboratory requisition forms, Laboratory Directory, Charge Master & reporting Format
20. Any other task assigned by HoD.
