Job Description:

REQUIREMENTS:




  • Experience in forensic case work.






  • 6 years' relevant field experience in forensic / professional practice.






  • Contribution to the scientific publications on forensic practice.






  • Experience in the field of humanitarian action.




  • Postgraduate degree in medical, biological and forensics sciences.




  • Experience in negotiations and public relations, particularly in promoting the implementation of professional and ethical standards in his / her field of expertise.




  • Fluent command of English and Urdu, additional languages an asset.




  • Experience in forensic training an asset.




 


 RESPONSIBILITIES:


 




  • Responsible to implement the forensic program in the field under the direction of the Forensic Coordinator.




  • Assists in establishing and or adapting forensic strategy, specific objectives, plans of action, timelines and the required resources (including budget) in cooperation with other Forensic staff at the delegation and staff from other departments in line with the delegation objectives.




  • Supervises and coach the staff doing forensic related work in the field.




  • Contributes in conducting forensic analysis of the context and its proper reporting to the delegation.




  • Holds training sessions and workshops internally and externally.




  • Promotes the implementation of relevant forensics standards, including those applicable to missing persons, management and identification of human remains.




  • With the guidance of the Forensic Coordinator, represents the ICRC in contacts with the authorities on all forensic related matters at national level.
