Assignment
The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering and consolidating of Household/individual survey data (i) data collected by the Research and Development team and (ii) the data verification of same entered data under the supervision of the Senior Database officer/Database Officer.
Functions
- Development of Information Collection Mechanisms
- To ensure regular gathering of data collected by R&D Team Leaders/DPM.
- To ensure accurate and timely entry of data into the database.
- To ensure, return hard copies with proper receiving to Program and AMEU Team after entering data at the end of every activity.
- Re-verification of entered data as per the plan of activities
- To ensure proper filing of data and it’s backup on daily basis at the end of day.
- To ensure, read first the questionnaire and correct the mistakes before any entry in the database.
- The DEC will be responsible to highlight the missing values before entry and discuss the entry mechanism with senior Database Officer.
- Any other activity assigns by the senior Database Officer/Database officer when required.
Reporting
- To work according to the priorities set by Program and Senior Database Officer/Database officer;
- To report to the Senior Database Officer/Database Officer at frequent and regular intervals on the progress of data entry and any outstanding inaccuracies and / or discrepancies.
- The candidate will work six days a week (Monday to Saturday) excluding Sundays

The staff member is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner. Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about ACTED programme objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies. Pillar 3 – Social cohesion and access to basic services – ACTED improves access to basic services through a range of measures including support for educational institutions, community infrastructure and local governance. Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups;
