Job Description:

 Position Summary:


The Assistant Manager Community Engagement and Campaigns will assist in planning, implantation and evaluation of behaviour change communication strategies, community engagement activities at grass root lever under district level engagement program. The AM Community engagement and campaigns will also provide assistance in capacity building of district coordinator and community mobilizes in communication and reporting skills. He will also provide his feedback to implementing partners and district coordinators to improve the quality of communication plans and community engagement activities.


Major Responsibilities (TORs):


1.       Assist to design, implement and evaluate behaviour change communication strategies for achieving district level engagement program objectives.


2.       Assist in developing community-based awareness campaigns and plans with implementing partners and district coordinators to disseminate information to broader publics through multiple channels available within the district.


3.       Assist in defining parameters for targeted research for setting and baselines for district level engagement program.


4.       Evaluate and assess completeness of the communication Plans that are prepared at district level for comprehensive community engagement activities.


5.       Provide feedback to implementing partners, District Coordinators and Community mobilizes to improve quality of communication plans and other activities in order to ensure that all communities of the district are covered.


6.       Compile reported activities data from IPs /district  coordinators, analyze and provide analysis for corrective actions


7.       Assist in monitoring of IPs and district coordinators activities for corrective action, as well as assist in the capacity building of partners on communication strategies.



  1. Provide technical& analytical support to counterparts in the development and appropriate use of communication for social development, aimed at both social and behaviour change.


9.       Provide Support in building capacity of staff in communication skills, advocacy, documentation, monitoring, data management, data analysis, management.


10.   Report weekly, monthly and quarterly on assigned project activities  for stakeholders


11.   Perform any other duty assigned by the line manager and senior managements.
